Before you go

The school requirement is strict — a child in your household must attend one of the seven listed schools. If they do not, this program cannot help, so call before making the trip.

What they do

Run by the Southeast Community Development Corporation, this program combines emergency financial assistance to stop an eviction or utility shut-off with twelve months of case management and financial coaching afterwards. The aim is to keep families housed and keep children from having to change schools mid-year. More than 220 families and 480 children have been served.

Services offered

  • Emergency assistance to prevent eviction or utility shut-off
  • One-to-one meetings with a case manager
  • 12 months of case management and financial coaching
  • Referrals to other community programs
